Voluntary organisations
CVS (Councils for Voluntary Service) agencies, also known as local infrastructure organisations, are based in all districts of the County, with the exception of East Herts, (currently covered by the CVS in Broxbourne). Working together, they are increasing the effectiveness of their role in regard to providing a unique link between ‘grassroots’ community-voluntary and decision-makers in the statutory sector.
Herts CVS Group is a network of the 9 CVS agencies in Hertfordshire. The Group acts strategically to develop and support the services provided to local community-voluntary organisations. Links to the Herts CVS Group website and those for the 9 local CVS agencies are available below.
The Herts CVS group have produced a Value and Volume Report which analyses the extent of the voluntary sector in Hertfordshire and the financial value of the contribution made. This is available below.
