Herts Careers Services (HCS) is a long-established, leading provider of career support and information in Hertfordshire and across the UK. Visit their website by selecting the link entitled Herts Careers Services (on the right hand side of the screen).

Jobcentre Plus is a government agency supporting people of working age from welfare into work, and helping employers to fill their vacancies.  They are part of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and play a major role in supporting the Department's aim to "promote opportunity and independence for all through modern, customer-focused services". Visit their website by selecting the link entitled Jobcentre Plus (on the right hand side of the screen).

Jobcentre Plus publish monthly counts of the unfilled vacancies that they hold. A breakdown of live unfilled vacancies in Hertfordshire is available below, broken down by local authority district, industry or occupation.

As a first step to improving their service to their "hardest to help" customers, in 2005, Jobcentre Plus East of England, in partnership with Cambridgeshire County Council and EEDA, mapped where these customers are located in greatest number within the region. More information is available below.
