The Place Survey
The Place Survey has been designed by the Department of Communities and Local Government and the Audit Commission to inform eighteen of the new National Indicators for Local Authorities. It replaces the Best Value Performance Indicator (BVPI) surveys (conducted in 2000, 2003 and 2006) and from 2008 onwards, all Local Authorities in England will be required to carry out the survey every two years
